Manchester United are set to keep Harry Amass at the club.
One of the early standouts for Manchester United in pre-season was Harry Amass. The young defender looked completely at home playing around the first team.
But since late July, Amass has been linked with a move away from the club, either on loan or permanently.
It was even claimed that United would cash in on Amass for just £6 million, a low fee that left the fanbase feeling insulted.
Now after United’s own left-back chase fell flat, Harry Amass is set to stay.

Manchester United fans were worried that the club were in for a repeat of 2023, when Alvaro Fernandez was sent on loan and sold, to be replaced with stop-gap Sergio Reguilon.
It was debatable enough whether to spend £65 million on Lewis Hall instead of just promoting Amass.
So it was always preferable that Amass would stay rather than adding a stop-gap or a short-term loan for a player who could never displace Luke Shaw.
Amass genuinely could do so. The 19-year-old has only scratched the surface of his potential.
It is right that United give him an opportunity with the first team.
Too often players are sent out on loan without being given a chance. Jacob Devaney was one example this past summer.

When the news emerged that Harry Amass will stay at Manchester United, there were questions over whether it would be best for his development.
Amass has not made any of United’s two squads to begin the season, with Noussair Mazraoui regarded as a fill-in left-back if needed.
Would Amass actually be better off going on loan to play regularly?
The answer to that is no, he wouldn’t.
Do you remember how Marcus Rashford made his debut in 2016?
Rashford was sixth or seventh choice striker at the time, and was given an opportunity due to a succession of injuries – while James Wilson was also out on loan.
Amass just needs to wait, he will get his chance when injuries inevitably strike.
That is the whole reason for the left-back consternation in the first place.
Fans have whipped themselves into a frenzy over Luke Shaw likely getting injured and United needing cover.
Amass will get an opportunity when this inevitability happens.
Even if he only plays 25 per cent of the minutes for United than he could on loan, his time playing for the Red Devils will be far more valuable.
