NEW NUMBERS: Isak, Wirtz, Sesko, Simons get Premier League shirt numbers

The Premier League has confirmed the squad numbers for all 20 clubs for the 2026/27 season following the closure of the summer transfer window.

The published list covers players registered in the clubs’ 25-man squads as well as eligible Under-21 and academy players who can feature for their respective first teams.

Several high-profile arrivals have been handed new numbers, with Liverpool’s Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz, Manchester United’s Benjamin Sesko, Tottenham Hotspur’s Xavi Simons and Newcastle United’s Yoane Wissa among the notable names.

At Arsenal, David Raya retains the No.1 shirt, while William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes, Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard occupy numbers two, six, seven and eight respectively.

New arrivals Piero Hincapie, Viktor Gyokeres, Martin Zubimendi and Bruno Guimaraes have been assigned numbers five, 14, 36 and 39 respectively.

Aston Villa’s squad includes goalkeeper Zion Suzuki as No.1, with John McGinn, Boubacar Kamara, Nicolas Jackson and Alejandro Garnacho taking numbers seven, eight, 11 and 17 respectively.

At Bournemouth, Djordje Petrovic wears No.1, while Alex Scott, Evanilson, Ryan Christie and Justin Kluivert have numbers eight, nine, 10 and 19 respectively.

Brentford have Caoimhin Kelleher as their No.1, with Kevin Schade, Igor Thiago, Dango Ouattara and Fabio Carvalho wearing seven, nine, 11 and 14.

Brighton’s squad features Bart Verbruggen as No.1, Kaoru Mitoma as No.7 and Georginio Rutter as No.10, while Evan Ferguson has been assigned the No.28 shirt.

Chelsea have Emiliano Martinez as No.1, with Pedro Neto, Joao Pedro, Cole Palmer and Jamie Gittens occupying numbers seven, nine, 10 and 11 respectively.

At Coventry City, Ethan Pinnock wears No.2, while Taiwo Awoniyi, Frank Onyeka and Haji Wright have been given numbers 14, 16 and 11.

Crystal Palace’s squad sees Dean Henderson retain No.1, with Ismaila Sarr, Eddie Nketiah, Jean-Philippe Mateta and Quinten Timber wearing seven, nine, 14 and 23.

Everton’s Jordan Pickford remains No.1, while Jack Grealish has been handed No.10 and Brennan Johnson No.22.

Fulham’s Bernd Leno keeps the No.1 shirt, with Nigeria international Alex Iwobi wearing No.17 and Emile Smith Rowe No.32.

Hull City have Jack Butland as No.1, while Semi Ajayi wears No.6 and Mohamed Belloumi takes No.10.

Ipswich Town’s Alex Palmer is No.1, with Abdul Fatawu, Julio Enciso and Chuba Akpom wearing seven, 10 and 29 respectively.

Leeds United have James Trafford as No.1, with Daniel James, Sean Longstaff and Dominic Calvert-Lewin assigned numbers seven, eight and nine.

Liverpool’s squad list contains several major additions, with Wirtz taking No.7, Isak No.9, Hugo Ekitike No.22 and Federico Chiesa No.14.

Manchester City have Gianluigi Donnarumma as No.1, while Erling Haaland retains No.9, Phil Foden wears No.47 and Rayan Cherki has No.10.

Manchester United’s new-look squad includes Senne Lammens as No.1, Bruno Fernandes as No.8, Matheus Cunha as No.10 and Benjamin Sesko as No.30.

Newcastle United have Nick Pope as No.1, with Yoane Wissa taking No.9, Anthony Elanga No.19 and Jacob Ramsey No.41.

Nottingham Forest’s squad features Ousmane Diomande as No.2, Chris Wood as No.9, Morgan Gibbs-White as No.10 and Liam Delap as No.19.

At Sunderland, Granit Xhaka has been assigned No.34, while Brian Brobbey wears No.9 and Chris Rigg takes No.11.

Tottenham Hotspur’s squad includes Xavi Simons as No.7, James Maddison as No.10, Mohammed Kudus as No.20 and Omar Marmoush as No.22.

The confirmed numbers provide the official shirt identities for the new campaign, with the lists also accommodating academy players who fall outside the Premier League’s 25-man squad limit.

The squad numbers will remain the principal identifiers for the players throughout the 2026/27 Premier League season.
