Mamaga Tsyrawa IV assumes presidency of Volta Regional House of Paramount Queen Mothers

Mamaga Dr Tsyrawa IV, Paramount Queen Mother of the Have Traditional Area in the Volta Region, has officially assumed office as President of the Volta Regional House of Paramount Queen Mothers.
Her assumption of office marks the beginning of a tenure she says will focus on promoting unity, peace, cultural preservation and community development across the region.
Speaking to Adom News correspondent Odehyeba Owusu Job after the handing-over ceremony, Mamaga Dr Tsyrawa IV expressed gratitude to her fellow queen mothers for the confidence reposed in her.
She described her election as a responsibility to advance the welfare of women, children, families and communities across the Volta Region.
She pledged to work with all queen mothers in a spirit of mutual respect and inclusiveness, while promoting initiatives aimed at improving the lives of people within their respective traditional areas.
Mamaga Dr Tsyrawa IV also expressed her commitment to collaborating with the Volta Regional House of Chiefs, traditional councils, government institutions and development partners to advance the interests of traditional communities.
She called on all queen mothers to unite behind her leadership as she begins her tenure, stressing the need to strengthen traditional institutions and improve the welfare of women, children and families.
On his part, Togbega Adanu Sakrafo X, Paramount Chief and President of the Goviefe Traditional Council, who spoke on behalf of Togbe Tepre Hodo IV, President of the Volta Regional House of Chiefs, congratulated Mamaga Dr Tsyrawa IV and pledged the support of paramount chiefs across the region.
He urged the new president to work closely with traditional leaders to promote the proper upbringing of young girls and address concerns about their behaviour as they prepare for adulthood.
Togbega Adanu Sakrafo X expressed confidence in her ability to mobilise queen mothers to help address challenges confronting young girls.
He said traditional leaders were ready to collaborate with the new president to encourage responsible upbringing and prepare the younger generation for the future.
He further stressed that stronger cooperation between queen mothers and paramount chiefs would be essential to addressing community concerns and mobilising local resources for development.
The traditional leader expressed hope that the new president would strengthen collaboration among queen mothers and chiefs to promote the interests of women and communities throughout the Volta Region.
