Sports Correspondent|Manchester City have landed their latest midfield prodigy, securing Lille’s Ayyoub Bouaddi in a blockbuster deal worth up to €100 million, about $116.8 million.
The 18-year-old Moroccan signed a five-year deal at the Etihad, with the club holding an option to extend it by a further 12 months.
Bouaddi arrives on the back of a standout tournament with Morocco at the 2026 World Cup, where his performances in the middle of the park turned heads across Europe.
City moved quickly to beat competition for the teenager, making him one of the most expensive 18-year-olds in football history. The deal underlines Pep Guardiola’s plan to refresh the squad with young, high-potential talent.
Bouaddi will be expected to add energy, ball progression and defensive bite to City’s midfield options as they chase more domestic and European silverware this season.
