GMet warns of thunderstorms, rain across several regions this evening

The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet) has forecast thunderstorms and rain in parts of the country this evening and into the night.

GMet said the thunderstorms and rain currently in parts of the Oti, Eastern and Northern Regions are expected to spread to other areas.

The Agency expects slight to moderate rainfall in parts of the Ashanti, Bono and Bono East Regions.

It also forecasts slight rain or drizzle along parts of the coastline.

According to GMet, thunderstorms and rain are expected over the Northern Sector later this evening and could continue into the night and early morning.

“Mist or fog is expected along the coast and mountainous areas, with slight rain possible over parts of Greater Accra,” the Agency said.

GMet also cautioned that the sea remains rough.

The Agency has advised the public to take precautions as the weather conditions develop.
