They Didn’t Even Give Me A Car As Communications Officer — Richard Ahiagbah Cries Out

New Patriotic Party (NPP) National First Vice Chairman hopeful Richard Ahiagbah has revealed that he was not provided with a vehicle during his tenure as the party’s National Communications Officer, raising concerns about the logistical support available to officials responsible for communicating the party’s message.

In an interview, Ahiagbah recounted some of the challenges he encountered while serving in the position, explaining that he lacked essential resources to carry out his responsibilities effectively.

According to him, the party did not provide him with a car to facilitate his movements across the country, despite the demands associated with his role as National Communications Officer.

He indicated that the absence of a vehicle made it difficult to travel for party activities, engage supporters at the grassroots level and undertake other assignments connected to his responsibilities.

Ahiagbah’s revelation has drawn attention to the importance of providing party officials with adequate logistical support to enable them to perform their duties efficiently. Communications officers often play a key role in defending party policies, responding to political developments and explaining the party’s position on national issues.

His comments also highlight concerns about the internal structures and resource allocation within the NPP, particularly as the party considers strategies to strengthen its organisation and improve its political fortunes.

As a contender for the position of National First Vice Chairman, Ahiagbah has indicated that he wants to see changes in how the party supports its officers. He believes that providing officials with the necessary resources would improve their effectiveness and strengthen the party’s operations.

The disclosure has sparked discussions among NPP supporters, with some questioning why an official occupying such an important communications position would reportedly have to work without a vehicle provided by the party.

Others may view the issue as part of a broader conversation about the responsibilities of party leadership, the distribution of resources and the need to equip officials to meet the demands of their positions.

Ahiagbah’s remarks have therefore placed logistical support and internal party administration among the issues being discussed as the NPP considers its future leadership and organisational reforms.
