Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr breaks up with girlfriend 4 months after reconciliation

Spread the word Brazilian football star Vinicius Junior and influencer Virginia Fonseca have ended their relationship again, just four months after reconciliation following an earlier separation.

The breakup was confirmed on Sunday, October 11, 2026, by the influencer’s communications team, following speculation about the couple’s relationship over the weekend. Blueprint reports

According to a statement from Virginia’s representatives, the decision was mutual and was not triggered by a fight or disagreement.

“Virginia Fonseca and Vini Jr. are no longer together. There was no conflict, there was no fight, only the understanding that they should no longer continue as a couple,” the statement said.

The announcement brought an end to days of speculation about the relationship between the 26-year-old Real Madrid forward and the Brazilian businesswoman and social media personality.

Speculation about a possible split intensified on Saturday after Virginia travelled from Madrid to Miami, United States, with her children.

The trip attracted attention on social media, with reports suggesting that the couple had experienced a disagreement in Spain before her departure.

Virginia’s representatives initially said they had no information confirming a breakup and explained that the trip had been planned in advance to allow her children to spend time with their father, Brazilian singer Zé Felipe, who was in the United States.

However, the rumours gathered momentum before her team confirmed the separation on Sunday.

Virginia also attracted attention after sharing social media content that followers interpreted as suggestive of a difficult personal moment. Nevertheless, the circumstances surrounding the breakup have not been fully disclosed, and the couple’s representatives have specifically denied that a quarrel prompted the decision.

Neither Virginia nor Vinicius had publicly provided a detailed explanation for the latest separation at the time of the announcement.

The breakup is the latest development in a relationship that has experienced a series of changes since it became public in 2025.

Vinicius and Virginia officially began dating in October 2025 after the footballer made a romantic proposal during a trip to Monaco. Their relationship attracted considerable attention because of their respective public profiles, with Vinicius among the leading figures in world football and Virginia commanding a large following as an influencer and entrepreneur in Brazil.

The couple separated in May 2026, when Virginia announced that their relationship had ended. At the time, she suggested that she had chosen to respect their individual paths rather than continue a relationship that no longer made sense to her.

The pair later reconciled in July, renewing their relationship and appearing together at public events.

In September, they shared images showing them wearing matching commitment rings, a development that suggested they were once again serious about their relationship.

Their latest separation, therefore, comes less than a month after the public display of the rings and approximately four months after their reconciliation.

Vinicius Junior, popularly known as Vini Jr., is one of Brazil’s most prominent footballers and a key attacking player for Real Madrid and the Brazilian national team.

Known for his pace, dribbling and ability to influence matches from the wings, the forward has established himself as a major figure in European football. His performances for Real Madrid have also made him a familiar name among football supporters around the world.

Virginia Fonseca, meanwhile, is a Brazilian influencer, businesswoman and television personality with a substantial social media following. She is also known for her business ventures and previous relationship with singer Zé Felipe, with whom she shares children.

The relationship between the footballer and the influencer attracted considerable public interest, bringing together the worlds of international football, entertainment and social media.

Their appearances together, public declarations of affection and eventual reconciliation frequently generated discussions among followers in Brazil and beyond.

Although the breakup has been confirmed, the couple’s representatives have not provided a detailed account of the reasons behind the decision.

The statement emphasised that the separation was reached without conflict or a fight, discouraging speculation that the couple had ended their relationship following a major confrontation.

The circumstances surrounding Virginia’s trip to Miami had fuelled rumours, but her representatives had explained that the journey was planned to facilitate a visit between her children and their father.

The confirmation of the breakup means the pair will now go their separate ways after a relationship marked by public attention, an earlier split and a reconciliation that appeared to signal a fresh start.

For now, the immediate question is whether either party will offer further details about the decision. Their representatives’ statement, however, makes clear that they are no longer together and that the separation was described as an amicable one.
