Vice President of the Republic of Malawi, Dr Jane Mayemu Ansah, SC, JA (Retired), and the Second Gentleman, Bishop Dr Joseph Addo Ansah, on Thursday, August 27, 2026, celebrated 43 years of marriage.
Speaking during the celebration, the Vice President said their marriage has been built on a strong foundation and attributed the 43 years together to the grace and faithfulness of God.
Dr Ansah thanked God for blessing her with a loving and God-fearing husband, describing their journey together as one that has been sustained by faith, love, commitment and mutual appreciation.
The Vice President encouraged young people to value the institution of marriage and refrain from premarital relationships, stressing that marriages are stronger when God is placed at the centre and respected.
She acknowledged that marriage comes with both joyful and difficult moments, urging couples to appreciate, support and celebrate one another throughout their journey together.
In his remarks, Bishop Eng. Joseph Addo Ansah expressed gratitude to God for making it possible for him and his wife to reach 43 years of marriage. He said he never imagined that they would celebrate such a milestone, but the grace of God had sustained them.
Bishop Ansah also thanked God for blessing him with a loving and wonderful wife, as well as their children.
