Guardiola Returns to Etihad Stadium After Leaving Man City

According to a post shared by Fabrizio Romano on X on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, Pep Guardiola has returned to the Etihad Stadium for the first time since leaving Manchester City last summer.

Romano announced the development alongside a blue heart and waving-hand emojis, highlighting the former City manager’s return to the club’s home ground.

Guardiola’s appearance marks his first visit to the Etihad since ending his spell in charge of Manchester City, where he spent several years managing the first team.

The Spanish tactician became an important figure at the club during his tenure, overseeing Manchester City’s domestic and European campaigns and playing a major role in shaping its modern identity.

His return comes several months after his departure last summer. However, Romano did not disclose the reason for Guardiola’s visit or reveal whether he was scheduled to meet with club officials or participate in any planned activities.

Guardiola’s departure marked the end of a significant era in Manchester City’s history, following years in which he became closely associated with the club’s development and achievements. His return to the Etihad has therefore attracted attention, given the strong connection he established with the club during his time as manager.
