Zimdancehall Star Ndunge Yut Eyes FIFA World Cup, Super Bowl Gigs
From performing at local music festivals to imagining himself on some of the world’s biggest stages, Zimbabwean dancehall artiste Ndunge Yut has set his ambitions far beyond the country’s borders.
The musician hopes to one day perform at a FIFA World Cup opening or closing ceremony and represent Zimbabwe at the Super Bowl in the United States, two opportunities he believes could become possible through continued hard work.
Ndunge Yut spoke about his aspirations at the 2026 Castle Lager Braai Festival at Glamis Stadium in Harare, where he shared the stage with some of Zimbabwe’s established musicians.
‘I Am A Dreamer’: Ndunge Yut
Rather than limiting his ambitions to building a successful career at home, Ndunge Yut is looking towards events that attract audiences from across the world.
Speaking to Zimpapers, Ndunge Yut said he believes his dream of performing at the FIFA World Cup and Super Bowl will become a reality if he continues working hard.
“I am a dreamer, and I have faith that these opportunities will come if I continue to work hard,” he said.
He said performing at major local events was helping him gain exposure as he worked towards reaching a wider audience.
“I have been steadily building my career, and the exposure I get from performing at major events like these means a lot,” he said.
Wants To Inspire Young People
Beyond his own ambitions, Ndunge Yut said he wants to set a positive example for young people who look up to him.
He said he was grateful for his musical talent and intended to keep working hard while using his platform to influence other people’s lives positively.
“As a young star and a role model to others, especially young people, I will continue working hard and leading by example.
“I am glad that God has blessed me with this talent. I want to continue working hard and changing lives,” he added.
