The Bombardier CRJ900 has been a fixture of North American regional flying since 2001, carrying passengers between smaller cities and major hubs for Delta Air Lines, American Airlines, and United Airlines through their regional partners. Published fuel burn figures for the aircraft vary from 280 gallons per hour to 655, which makes the question of how much fuel it actually uses harder to answer than it should be.
