Bruno Fernandes once again produced another show-stealing Premier League performance for Manchester United in the Ipswich Town match on Sunday.
The 31-year-old Manchester United captain came to the Red Devils’ rescue when they were 1-0 down and inspired his side’s comeback win at Old Trafford.
Bruno Fernandes cancelled out Leif Davis’ first-half opener for Ipswich Town in the 40th minute before the Portugal midfielder made a major impact in the second half.
The United star completed his brace in the 61st minute from the spot-kick before Fernandes bagged his stunning hat-trick for the Red Devils in the 68th minute.

Bruno Fernandes was cool, calm and collected when he stepped up to face Kjell Scherpen from the spot-kick in Manchester United’s encounter with Ipswich Town.
The Portugal international was in his element after he sent Kjell Scherpen the wrong way from the penalty spot and put the ball in the opposite direction of the net.
Fernandes’ hat-trick was the main talking point from United’s 5-2 win over Ipswich, but the Portuguese midfielder’s penalty kick was equally important for the overall result.
The United skipper had arrived back at Old Trafford in the summer for the late stages of the pre-season tour and Fernandes had struggled from the spot-kick.
Fernandes saw his effort dragged wide during Man Utd’s penalty shootout win over Leeds United in the pre-season clash in Dublin earlier this month.
The former Sporting CP star then saw his penalty strike denied by Lorenzo Torriani during United’s 4-2 defeat to AC Milan in the final match of the summer tour.
Fernandes has reassured United fans that pre-season was nothing more than a blip after scoring his first penalty of the 2026-27 Premier League season at Old Trafford.
According to StatMuse, Fernandes has netted 27 of his 34 penalty attempts for United in the Premier League and has only missed seven times in total.
Fernandes is United’s top scorer of the 2026-27 season after the opening two Premier League matches so far, as the Red Devils lost 2-0 to Hull City last week.
