THE Common Market for East and Southern Africa (COMESA) Business Council (CBC) has announced Coca-Cola Africa as a Lead Sponsor of the 19th COMESA Business Forum & Exhibition, scheduled for October 19-21, 2026, at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC), Harare, Zimbabwe.
The announcement was made in a statement issued by Teddy Soobramanien, COMESA Business Council chief executive officer in Lusaka, Zambia, this Friday.
Held under the theme “One Market, One Future: Advancing Inclusive Industrialization, Investment and Regional Integration in COMESA,” the Forum is expected to bring together more than 1,000 business leaders, investors, policymakers, development partners, and other stakeholders from across the COMESA region and beyond.
According to CBC, Coca-Cola Africa’s partnership strengthens private-sector representation at the Forum and highlights the importance of business leadership in advancing regional trade, investment, industrialisation, and sustainable economic development.
With a significant presence across African markets and extensive networks spanning suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, retailers, and other business partners, the Coca-Cola system will bring valuable private-sector perspectives to discussions on strengthening regional value chains and expanding opportunities for businesses across African markets.
The forum will feature key activities, including the Green Industries Connect and the International Multisectoral Exhibition, which will bring together businesses, policymakers and other stakeholders to explore opportunities in sustainable production, circular economy practices, resource efficiency and responsible management of industrial waste.
The 19th COMESA Business Forum will provide a platform for businesses and policymakers to engage on practical measures for strengthening the regional market and addressing barriers to trade and investment. These deliberations will be presented to the COMESA Heads of State during the 25th COMESA Heads of State and Government Summit.
Coca-Cola Africa’s participation further demonstrates the growing role of private-sector partnerships in supporting the COMESA regional integration agenda and advancing opportunities for inclusive industrial development.
The Forum is organised by the COMESA Secretariat, COMESA Business Council and the Zimbabwe government, in collaboration with ZimTrade and the Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce.
