The awards recognise journalistic work across different beats, including health, business, entertainment, environmental reporting and community impact.

Mr Quaicoe’s overall regional award, alongside the category wins secured by his colleagues, highlights the range of reporting represented by the Luv FM team.

The GJA Ashanti Regional Media Excellence Awards celebrate journalists whose work contributes to public understanding of issues affecting communities across the region.

Luv FM, based in Kumasi, is part of the Multimedia Group’s network of radio and television stations in Ghana.

The regional winners are expected to feature in the broader national awards calendar, although their participation and final standings at the national level will depend on the applicable GJA arrangements.
