“I Started Casting Out Demons At 17, 18 Years”- Gov Okpebholo

Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has said his experience in fighting insecurity and cultism dates back to his teenage years, when he began casting out demons at the age of 17 or 18.

Okpebholo stated this while speaking during a service at The Voice of This Age Church (VOTAGE Church) in Benin City, Edo State.

The governor said his early religious experiences had shaped his understanding of the challenges associated with insecurity and cultism.

“When I see young ones standing in the presence of God, I remember at 17-18, I have also started casting out demons.

“So, fighting insecurity and most especially cultism is not a new thing to me, it something that has been happening,” he said.

Okpebholo said his administration remains committed to tackling insecurity and cultism in the state.

He noted that his experience as a young man involved in religious activities had given him a long-standing connection with efforts to confront social vices and insecurity.
