2026/27 Ghana Premier League: Week 10 Match Preview - FC AshantiGold vs. Young Apostles

FC AshantiGold 04 will be aiming to extend their impressive home record when they host Young Apostles at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi on Sunday afternoon in a Matchweek 10 fixture of the Ghana Premier League. The Miners head into the encounter in confident mood following an impressive 2-1 comeback victory over Swedru All Blacks in their previous league outing.AshantiGold recovered from a goal down to secure all three points, ending a two-match winless run and providing a timely boost ahead of their return to Obuasi. The result will serve as a confidence booster for the Elephants, who have established Len Clay Stadium as a difficult venue for visiting teams.AshantiGold are unbeaten in their last 19 home league matches, a remarkable run stretching back to their Division One days. They have recorded 15 victories and four draws during that period and will be determined to preserve that impressive record against the struggling visitors.Apostles, meanwhile, arrive in Obuasi under pressure after enduring a difficult spell in the league. The Wenchi-based outfit have gone three matches without a victory, suffering two defeats and managing just one draw in their last three outings.Their away form is particularly concerning, having lost each of their last eight Ghana Premier League away matches. They will, however, be desperate to end that unwanted run and pick up a positive result against the Miners.Apostles are currently languishing in the relegation zone with just seven points from nine matches, making Sunday's encounter another important test in their fight to climb away from danger. With AshantiGold enjoying a formidable home record and Apostles struggling on their travels, the hosts will start as favourites. However, the visitors will be hoping to produce a spirited performance and upset the odds in Obuasi.
