Shipping traffic through the Strait of Hormuz fell to around five commodity vessels per day over the weekend, according to shipping data released on Monday, amid continuing concerns over potential attacks on vessels using the strategic waterway. Data from maritime analytics firm Kpler showed that traffic through the strait was largely limited to relatively small vessels, including two liquefied gas tankers. One of the tankers exited the strait using a route through Iranian waters, while another sailed overnight toward India, according to the data.
