Siyanda Ndlovu insists he is unfazed by social media backlash from angry Orlando Pirates fans after hitting the ground running at Chloorkop.

Mamelodi Sundowns attacker **Siyanda Ndlovu **has opened up about the social media backlash he received after his proposed move to Orlando Pirates fell through and he eventually joined Masandawana.
Ndlovu had travelled to Gauteng with the intention of completing a move to the Buccaneers, but the deal collapsed before he eventually switched to Sundowns and joined the CAF Champions League holders at Chloorkop.
The 23-year-old’s decision to join Sundowns did not go down well with some Pirates supporters, who turned to social media to express their anger.
Ndlovu revealed that he received several messages on Instagram, including insults from unhappy fans, but insists the criticism did not affect him.
“There’s nothing wrong between me [and Pirates],” said Ndlovu during an interview with Victor Molefe on Ukhozi FM.
“But the way they spoke to me on social media... I was getting messages on my Instagram, insulting me.
“But then I’m strong and I’m focusing on what I’m doing, where I am. What happened cannot be changed anymore.”
Rather than allowing the controversy surrounding his failed move to Pirates to distract him, Ndlovu has quickly turned his attention to making an impact at Sundowns.
The attacker has enjoyed an impressive start to life at Chloorkop, turning heads with his performances since making the move.
Ndlovu has featured in six matches across all competitions and has already shown glimpses of why Sundowns were keen to secure his services.
The social media storm may have followed him from the failed Pirates transfer, but Ndlovu appears determined to let his performances on the pitch tell the story.
For the former Pirates target, what happened during the transfer saga is now firmly in the past.
His focus is on establishing himself at Sundowns and making the most of the opportunity that eventually took him to Chloorkop.
