Msaka Says DPP Still Strong in Eastern Region

Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Vice President for the Eastern Region Bright Msaka says the party remains strong in the region, citing its grassroots support and organisational structures.

Msaka, who is also Minister of Education, Science and Technology, made the remarks in an interview with Balaka Community Radio on Monday.

He said the DPP continues to enjoy substantial support at community level, arguing that its presence in the Eastern Region remains firmly established.

“The Eastern Region has become DPP’s stronghold and continues engaging people and strengthening our party structures,” said Msaka.

Msaka said the party has intensified grassroots mobilisation and engagement with communities as part of efforts to consolidate its support base.

He stressed that maintaining regular contact with supporters is important in understanding their concerns and ensuring that party structures remain active.

The DPP Eastern Region vice president also called for unity among party members, saying cohesion would help the party coordinate its activities and maintain its grassroots presence.

He urged DPP supporters in the region to remain united, committed and actively involved in party activities.

Msaka’s remarks come as political parties continue to strengthen their grassroots structures and mobilise supporters ahead of forthcoming political activities.
