Telekom Networks Malawi (TNM) plc on Tuesday introduced Mixit SuperFlex, a product that allows customers to create their own bundles.
Launching the product on Tuesday, TNM Chief Executive Officer Michael Herbert said the product allows customers to create personalised bundles by choosing data, voice, SMS or any combination of the three.
He said with the new product, customers could choose the validity period and amount they wanted to spend, giving them flexibility to build a bundle around their needs and budget.
“Malawians have told us they don’t want to waste money buying bundles they don’t need or be forced to buy SMSs that they don’t use. Now customers can build the exact bundle that they need,” Herbert said.
He said the flexibility offered by the product could help make digital services more accessible to people who cannot afford larger bundles.
Herbert said the company’s investment in local innovators also formed part of its plans to develop Artificial Intelligence capabilities in Malawi.
TNM Director of Corporate Affairs Sobuza Ngwenya said the company was also enhancing some of its existing products to support the financial inclusion drive and promote digital adoption.
“Additionally, now customers can apply for a mobile wallet loan even when they have funds in their wallet,” he said.
