Golden Arrows Part Ways With Pitso Dladla as Mandla Ncikazi Move Takes Shape

Golden Arrows have dismissed head coach Pitso Dladla, allowing Mandla Ncikazi to make a potential return to the Durban-based club after recently leaving Orlando Pirates.

This coaching shift follows Pirates’ confirmation that Ncikazi is departing to accept a head coaching role at another Premier Soccer League club. While his new destination was not initially revealed, the recent news regarding Arrows has enhanced the connection between Ncikazi and his old team.

Dladla’s exit concludes his tenure with Arrows as the club looks ahead to a new phase in its coaching structure. This change also creates an opportunity for Ncikazi, who previously found significant success while coaching Arrows.

Ncikazi developed his reputation as a head coach there before moving to Orlando Pirates in 2021 as an assistant. His experience in the Premier Soccer League, along with his familiarity with Arrows, could make his return a pivotal appointment for the club.

During his time at Pirates, Ncikazi worked with various head coaches and contributed to the technical team that secured domestic trophies, including a successful run in the 2025/26 Betway Premiership.

His possible return to Arrows would mark a transition from an assistant role back to a head coach position. For Golden Arrows, Dladla’s departure indicates a shift in strategy as the club aims to enhance its performance in the league. Hiring an experienced coach is crucial for the team as it seeks to achieve more consistency in its results.

Ncikazi’s previous association with the club could facilitate a smooth transition should the move occur, although leading a team requires him to implement his own methods and maximize the current squad’s potential.

The situation surrounding both coaches has made Golden Arrows a focal point in the latest coaching changes within the PSL. While Dladla’s departure is confirmed, the club still needs to officially announce Ncikazi’s hiring to finalize this transition.

If Ncikazi returns to Arrows, it would signify a new chapter in his career and allow him to build upon the success he had during his prior tenure. All eyes are on Golden Arrows for their next announcement, particularly regarding Ncikazi’s potential appointment to lead the team forward.
