How to tune into tonight’s iPhone event

By this time tomorrow, Apple will have showcased a slew of new mobile hardware.

This, as the company will host its latest product-focused event, kicking off at 19:00 tonight for those in South Africa.

A lot is expected from the event, outside of the new hardware, with Tim Cook no longer being the CEO of the tech giant, and John Ternus now in the hot seat. The Cupertino-based company has found great success under the stewardship of Cook, with its digital services in particular thriving in recent years. Added to this is the silicon foundry that Apple has spun up, with it helping to greatly enhance the computing power and performance of its Mac hardware in particular.

As such, Ternus will want to make a splash during his first official outing as Apple CEO. A great way to do so is with the highly rumoured foldable that the company has been working on for years now. Whether we actually see the device remains to be seen, but it would be quite the “One More Thing” if it did happen, with many believing that Apple would reinvigorate the foldable sector that has been dominated by a handful of company in recent years.

Outside of the rumoured hardware, Apple is pretty much confirmed to reveal a new iPhone lineup, with it likely being called the iPhone 18 series. Precisely, how many different models, both in terms of size and storage capacity, Apple plans to reveal, remains to be seen.

Some reports have suggested that Apple will opt for a regular iPhone, a Pro, and Pro Max for the iPhone 18 series, with RAMaggedon forcing it to make some important decisions.

As for other hardware, mobile appears to be the primary focus for tonight’s event, and outside of the aforementioned foldable, nothing else is anticipated at this stage.

In terms of tuning into the event, which is being live streamed, YouTube remains the best port of call for those who will not be attending in-person.
