
Ghanaian-Italian forward Caleb Ekuban, currently without a club, has been linked with a move to Sampdoria in Serie B.The 32-year-old centre-forward left Genoa on 1 July 2026 and is now being considered by Sampdoria as they assess attacking options. Ekubans availability follows his five-year spell with Genoa, whom he joined from Trabzonspor in August 2021 in a 2.6m transfer.Ekuban has made 108 Serie A appearances during his career, scoring 10 goals and providing nine assists. He has also played 83 times in Turkeys Super Lig, where he scored 20 goals and recorded 12 assists.Born in Villafranca di Verona, Ekuban began his senior career in Italy and spent time with Chievo Verona, Sudtirol, Lumezzane and Renate before moving abroad. He joined Trabzonspor after a loan spell at Leeds, later winning the Turkish Cup in the 2019-20 season and the Turkish Super Cup the following campaign.His time at Trabzonspor also included four goals in six Europa League qualifying appearances.
