KCCA set unleash Ahimbisibwe at URA

Friday October 9, 2026

• Entebbe UPPC vs Police – Hamz stadium, Nakivubo 5pm
• URA vs KCCA – Hamz stadium, Nakivubo 8pm

The StarTimes Uganda Premier League serves up a heavyweight clash at the Hamz Stadium in Nakivubo as URA FC goes head-to-head with giants KCCA FC.

Both teams enter the fixture desperate to correct the course of their respective campaigns, with massive pressure mounting on their tacticians to claim maximum points.

Adding fuel to an already explosive fixture is the high-profile return of KCCA FC’s star striker, Ivan Ahimbisibwe, who is set to lead the line against his former bosses after a brief, unsuccessful stint playing in Iraq.

The former URA talisman has returned to the Kasasiro Boys and is fully cleared to lead the attack tonight. Ahimbisibwe has a devastating history in this exact fixture—having previously scored a ruthless first-half brace against URA to fire KCCA to victory

URA’s backline will have their hands full trying to contain a striker who knows their setup inside out.

Both dugouts are feeling the heat. URA manager Jimmy Kintu Mwera is demanding an immediate defensive response from his squad following a humbling 4-1 thrashing by NEC FC.

Meanwhile, KCCA’s Brian Ssenyondo is looking to build momentum; his side scraped a vital 1-0 win against Kataka FC just before the international break to register their first victory of the season. A loss for either side on Friday will significantly intensify the pressure.
