The Chairman of Vento Furniture, Hon. Faruk Adamu Aliyu, has described the recognition of the company as Brand of the Year by LEADERSHIP Newspapers as a significant honour to the management and staff of the company.
Speaking in Abuja last Thursday at the company’s office during the presentation of the award letter by the management of LEADERSHIP Group Limited, publishers of LEADERSHIP Newspapers, Aliyu said Vento Furniture holds the award in high esteem because it aligns with the company’s commitment to continued growth, expansion and the pursuit of excellence and precision in its operations, adding that the company does not take the honour from LEADERSHIP lightly.
He also said the award was particularly significant because of LEADERSHIP’s standing and its commitment to the interests of the company, the country and consumers.
He further disclosed that Vento Furniture would soon host LEADERSHIP in Lagos for the unveiling of a major partnership with Ashley, one of the world’s largest furniture manufacturers, as part of the company’s plans to strengthen its presence and expand its operations in Nigeria.
Aliyu disclosed that the company operates a furniture factory in Nigeria, which he described as one of the country’s most modern furniture manufacturing facilities.
He also announced that Vento was partnering with Ashley Furniture, to establish showrooms in Lagos, Abuja and other locations. He said the partnership was aimed at introducing greater precision and modern technology into furniture manufacturing in Nigeria, while combining advanced technology with human labour.
Presenting the letter of award, the senior vice chairman/editor-in-chief of LEADERSHIP, Mr Azu Ishiekwene, said Vento was selected after a rigorous assessment of nominees, noting that the company has distinguished itself through a combination of business excellence and purposeful social impact. Ishiekwene said Vento Furniture has grown from a single outlet in 2016/2017 to more than 12 branches across Nigeria, providing furniture and interior solutions while creating employment opportunities.
Beyond its commercial expansion, Ishiekwene said the company was recognised for its interventions in education, healthcare, hunger relief, clean water and sanitation, menstrual hygiene, and the wellbeing of women and girls, among other humanitarian initiatives.
Vento’s executive director, Brand and Communication, Cemal Yigit, thanked LEADERSHIP for the recognition, describing the award as “an honour and a privilege.” He noted that the company’s commitment extends beyond business, particularly through its corporate social responsibility initiatives, which he said remain an important part of its operations. Yigit added that the quality of work delivered by Vento’s employees speaks for itself, making the recognition by LEADERSHIP a significant honour for the company.
Vento Furniture emerged as the Brand of the Year of the upcoming 19th edition of the Special LEADERSHIP Conference Awards, in recognition of its business growth, employment generation and contributions to communities across Nigeria.
