Yesyoucan Cybersecure opens Ghana office, pledges to build local cybersecurity talent

Cybersecurity firm, Yesyoucan Cybersecure LLC has opened its first office in Ghana, with a commitment to recruit and train young people as part of efforts to deepen the country’s cybersecurity talent pool.

The new office located at Westlands, a few kilometres west of the University of Ghana, Legon, and will provide IT and cybersecurity consulting services to businesses and institutions while creating opportunities for young professionals to build careers in the sector.

Speaking to Citi Business News on the sidelines of the official opening, Founder and Cybersecurity Analyst, Dr. Noah Darko-Adjei, said the decision to establish the Ghana office was driven partly by gaps he has identified in the country’s cybersecurity ecosystem.

“Yesyoucan Cybersecure is here in Ghana, this our maiden office that we launched today, and we’re going to hire several talents across Ghana, especially the youth who are into the cybersecurity space,” he said.
According to Dr. Darko-Adjei, the firm will support organisations including banks, healthcare providers, academic institutions and government agencies with system assessments, compliance support and audit preparation.

“Our job mostly is going to be IT and then cybersecurity consulting,” he explained, adding that the company will also provide mock audits and help organisations meet regulatory and compliance requirements.

The Ghana office will also serve as a training platform, with the firm targeting young people seeking skills across both technical and governance aspects of cybersecurity.

Dr. Darko-Adjei said the training will cover areas including IT audit, AI security and assurance, security operations, endpoint security, vulnerability management and data analytics.
He believes expanding the talent pipeline is critical to addressing weaknesses within Ghana’s cybersecurity environment.

“Once we train some of the youth, they’re going to fill this space,” he said, adding that the company intends to create opportunities for trained professionals to secure contracts locally and internationally.

The expansion comes as businesses face growing risks from weak cybersecurity controls. Dr Darko-Adjei identified access control, change management, IT operations and data privacy among areas requiring greater attention.

He said businesses must treat cybersecurity as a critical business risk because failures in controls can result in financial, regulatory and operational consequences.

For smaller businesses constrained by resources, he recommends starting with basic security measures, particularly stronger access controls and password management.

The establishment of the Ghana office therefore combines the company’s commercial expansion with a talent-development focus, as it seeks to provide cybersecurity services while building a pipeline of professionals capable of supporting organisations across the country.
