The Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) is set to carry out door-to-door inspections to check TV and radio licences in several Harare suburbs.
In a letter dated 3 September 2026 from its Licensing Inspectorate, ZBC said the exercise will run from Monday 7 September to 18 September 2026.
Inspectors will be visiting households in areas including Borrowdale Brooke, Pokugara Residential Estate, Arlington Estate, Madokero Estate, Aspindale Park, Carrick Creagh Estate, Westgate, Greendale and Pomona, among others.
“Inspectors will be checking for valid ZBC licences and will also be issuing licences to households that have not yet purchased or renewed their licences,” the letter, signed by acting licensing operations manager Tinos Sada, reads.
ZBC has requested estate managers, residents’ associations and security teams to help grant inspectors access to properties where needed.
The blitz comes after ZBC recently expanded its monitoring fleet to 15 vans and stepped up compliance operations across the country.
