Nigel Gaisie Reveals Position He Expected From Mahama After NDC Won Power

Prophet Nigel Gaisie has revealed that he was hoping to receive a government appointment from President John Dramani Mahama following the National Democratic Congress (NDC)’s return to power.

The founder and leader of Prophetic Hill Chapel disclosed that he had anticipated being considered for a position either as a member of the Council of State or as Minister for Religious Affairs.

His revelation has drawn attention to the expectations he reportedly had following the NDC’s electoral victory and the role he believes he played in supporting the party’s political journey.

Prophet Gaisie explained that he had been looking forward to an appointment from President Mahama, suggesting that he expected his contributions towards the party’s return to government to be recognised.

His statement has generated interest because appointments to important government positions are often closely watched, particularly when individuals who openly supported political parties express expectations of being included in the administration.

The Council of State is an important constitutional advisory body that provides counsel to the President on national governance matters. Membership of the institution is therefore considered a significant responsibility within Ghana’s political structure.

Similarly, the position of Minister of State carries executive responsibilities and involves contributing to government policy development and implementation.

Prophet Gaisie’s revelation has consequently raised questions about the relationship between political support, personal expectations and appointments within government.

His comments have also brought renewed attention to the involvement of religious figures in Ghana’s political environment, where some prominent pastors openly express political views and support political movements.

While religious leaders are generally expected to provide spiritual guidance to their followers, their participation in political discussions has remained a subject of public interest.

The prophet’s disclosure provides an insight into what he had hoped to receive following the NDC’s electoral success.

However, his statement does not establish whether President Mahama made any appointment promises to him or whether formal discussions regarding such positions took place.

For now, his revelation has placed his appointment expectations in the spotlight, adding another talking point to discussions surrounding political recognition and government appointments under the Mahama administration.
