DOSH Health Insurance Wins Outstanding BSA Digital Health Award

DOSH Health Insurance has been named Outstanding Digital Health Insurance Company of the Year at the 9th Ghana Business Standard Awards (GBSA) held in Accra. Chief Executive Officer of DOSH Health Insurance, Frank Augustine Dagbui, received the award on behalf of the company.

The recognition honours organisations demonstrating excellence, innovation and sustainable growth, while highlighting DOSH Health Insurance’s efforts to use digital technology to expand access to affordable and convenient health insurance coverage in Ghana.

DOSH Health Insurance has adopted a digital-first model that allows customers to register, select health insurance plans, pay premiums and manage their coverage through multiple platforms.

These include the company’s “DOSH is life” App, CSR-assisted telephony, WhatsApp and the *915# USSD shortcode.

The company’s strategic partnership with MTN MoMo has also expanded access by allowing customers to use mobile money platforms to activate and manage their health insurance coverage.

Speaking after receiving the award, Mr Dagbui said the recognition validated the company’s approach of combining technological innovation with practical solutions for customers.

“This recognition validates one of our core beliefs: that while we strive to always be on the leading edge of innovation, we will also ensure that the solutions we deliver are always practical and usable,” he said.

He said the award reflected the efforts of the company’s team in developing products aimed at simplifying access to health insurance.

“We believe technology not only should, but must, eliminate barriers, not introduce them,” Mr Dagbui added.

He said DOSH Health Insurance would continue developing practical digital solutions to make health insurance easier to access for Ghanaians.

“We at DOSH will always be committed to ensuring a premier experience for our customers, whilst we work to advance our network and expand access to affordable health insurance across the country,” he said.

Through its digital platforms, DOSH Health Insurance provides customers with options to onboard and manage their health coverage without relying solely on traditional insurance processes.

The company says its services are designed to cater for individuals, families and groups, with flexible payment options and digital access to coverage management.

Customers can access the company through its “DOSH is life” App, CSR-assisted telephony at 0800-DOSH-ME (0800-3674-63), WhatsApp and MTN MoMo integration via *915#.
