An old video showing the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) newly elected First Vice Chairman, Kojo Bamba, in a heated confrontation with a man who describes himself as Otumfuo’s bodyguard has resurfaced online, attracting public attention.
The video came back into the spotlight on Sunday, October 11, 2026, following Kojo Bamba’s election as the NPP’s First Vice Chairman during the party’s national executive elections.
Kojo Bamba, popularly known as Kwadwo Fosu Boadu, was seen in the footage arguing with Seidu MBA, who is known as a self-acclaimed personal bodyguard of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
The confrontation reportedly took place at Manhyia Palace in Kumasi. According to reports, the disagreement started after Seidu confronted Kojo Bamba over alleged insulting comments made about him.
In the video, Seidu is heard expressing anger over the alleged remarks. He questions why Kojo Bamba would describe him as a thief despite claiming that he had previously given him jobs.
The situation appears to become more serious when Seidu pushes one of the men accompanying Kojo Bamba. The man appears to respond, raising concerns that the disagreement could turn into a physical fight.
However, police officers and other people at the scene intervene to separate those involved and prevent the confrontation from escalating further.
The resurfaced video has attracted fresh attention because of Kojo Bamba’s new position within the NPP. His election has generated different reactions among party supporters and other Ghanaians.
Kojo Bamba was previously associated with the Bamba Boys and Delta Forces, groups linked to political vigilantism in Ghana. His background has therefore become part of the discussion surrounding his elevation to a senior position in the opposition party.
While some NPP supporters believe his experience could help the party address security concerns during political activities, others have expressed worries about the possible impact of placing a figure associated with vigilante groups in a major leadership position.
The appearance of the old footage has added to the ongoing debate about the NPP’s new leadership and the party’s preparations for the 2028 general elections.
As the video continues to attract attention online, the reported confrontation has once again placed Kojo Bamba’s past activities under public scrutiny.
Neither Kojo Bamba nor Seidu MBA is reported in the available coverage to have issued a fresh statement responding to the renewed attention surrounding the video.
