South African Radio Astronomy Observatory posts job openings, including graduate-focused interns

The South African Radio Astronomy Observatory (SARAO) has recently shared, on social media, a call for several new job openings including internships, which are focused on graduate applicants.

“The South African Radio Astronomy Observatory (SARAO) is a National Facility managed by the National Research Foundation [NRF] and incorporates all national radio astronomy telescopes and programmes,” for those unfamiliar with the organisation.

Many South Africans may have read about the NRF and SARAO because of the Square Kilometre Array (SKA), and its mission to improve humanity’s understanding of the universe.

For those who would want to work on at such an interesting organisation, the full list of job openings can be found here, but we’ve made an easy-to-read table with all the information below.

As you can see, many of the jobs have just been posted, so there may be more by the time you read this. At the time of publication, there are 15 listings, but some listings advertise that multiples of the same role are available. Taking this into account, it seems that there are 19 openings in total
