Collins Mnangagwa’s mother-in-law, two others granted bail

BULAWAYO, Zimbabwe — The Bulawayo High Court has granted $1,000 bail each to socialite Dyonne Tafirenyika, her mother, Amina Jassinta Jessub Arab, and relative Noreen Jessub, who are facing drug-related charges.

Justice Munamato Mutevedzi granted the trio bail following an appeal by their lawyers, Admire Rubaya, Everson Chatambudza and Malvern Mapako.

The three were arrested at a lodge in Bulawayo and were denied bail by a magistrate last week.

As part of their bail conditions, they were ordered to surrender their passports, report twice a week at Hatfield Police Station, continue residing at their given addresses and not interfere with witnesses.

Their release comes after Kelsea Tafirenyika, who is described in court papers as a second wife of Collins Mnangagwa, was granted bail in a separate case in which she faces drug and money laundering charges.

The allegations against all four have not been proven in court.
