Beach Woodball Championship second circuit a success at Bunjako

The second circuit of the 2026 Beach Woodball National Championship was held at Bunjako Beach in Buwama, along Masaka Road.

A total of 125 players competed in the day-long event across different categories, with several clubs taking part.

Kyetume School of Nursing and Midwifery, University of Kisubi (UNIK), Bukiwe, Makerere University, Kyambogo University, Ndejje University, Kampala International University (KIU), Prisons, Ndejje Corporates, ZOE, Ministry of Public Service (MOPS), Kyazanga, Makerere University Business School (MUBS) and Kampala University took part.

General Secretary of Uganda Woodball Federation (UWbF) Juma Adam Kato commended the different institutions and clubs that graced the event.

“In a special way, I applaud the players from the different institutions and clubs for taking part. Uganda Woodball Federation is focused on growing the game of woodball across the country,” Kato remarked.

Focus turns to the 2026 Kenya International woodball championship in Nairobi this weekend.

This will be the 7th edition of this championship since inception.

On 26th September 2026, the Uganda Woodball Federation will hold its Annual General Assembly.
