
The Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, was received on Sunday in Luanda by the President of the Republic of Angola, João Lourenço, on the sidelines of the Extraordinary Summit of African Union (AU) Heads of State and Government, which is taking place on August 30 in the Angolan capital.
During this audience, Akhannouch conveyed to the Angolan President the fraternal greetings of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and His sincere wishes for health and success in fulfilling his mandate, as well as for progress and prosperity to the friendly Angolan people.
The Head of Government also congratulated Angola on the excellent organization of this Summit, emphasizing Morocco’s readiness to work towards deepening the ties of cooperation and partnership uniting the two countries.
For his part, the Angolan President tasked Akhannouch with conveying his warm greetings to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, along with his wishes for health and happiness to the Sovereign, and for further progress and prosperity to the Moroccan people.
This audience took place in the presence of Morocco’s Ambassador to Angola, Saadia Alaoui, the Ambassador and Director General of the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation, Mohamed Methqal, and the Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Kingdom to the African Union and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, Mohamed Arrouchi.
