Former Eastern Regional Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), David Prah, has called on party members in the Eastern Region to unite and work tirelessly towards securing a resounding victory for the party’s presidential candidate, Mahamudu Bawumia, in the 2028 general elections.
In a press statement following the completion of the NPP’s regional elections and the appointment of other party officials, Prah urged members to rally behind the new Eastern Regional Executive Committee, led by Regional Chairman Jeff Konadu Addo, to steer the affairs of the party in the region.
He stressed that the Eastern Region remains a critical and strategic stronghold for the NPP’s electoral fortunes in 2028 and, therefore, requires the collective efforts of all party members.
“As a party, we are aware that the Eastern Region is very critical and strategic for the victory in 2028, and we need everyone on board,” he said.
Prah appealed to party members to put aside their differences, reconcile their grievances and work together towards the common goal of returning the NPP to power in 2028.
He also criticised the government led by President John Dramani Mahama, accusing the President and his appointees of failing to deliver meaningful development to the Eastern Region.
According to him, the NPP must intensify its efforts to hold the government accountable for its performance in the region.
Prah expressed confidence in the party’s ability to reclaim power, saying members had successfully achieved victory in the past and could repeat the feat in the 2028 elections.
He therefore urged all NPP members, supporters and sympathisers to remain committed, united and focused on the party’s 2028 electoral objective.
