Manchester United centre-back Leny Yoro is currently on international duty with France, raising his profile in his homeland.
Back when Paul Pogba was a France international playing for Manchester United, the international break routinely seemed to involve him being linked with moves away from the club.
Leny Yoro was only called into the France squad last week, and suddenly a link to Paris Saint-Germain has popped up.
French outlet 433foot.fr claims PSG transfer chief Luis Campos has identified Leny Yoro as a player he wants the club to sign.
PSG would be willing to offer centre-back Ilan Zabarnyi in a swap deal, citing the defender’s ‘struggles in France’.
Leny Yoro wants to prove himself at United
Leny Yoro quit Ligue 1 side Rennes to sign with Manchester United in 2024, and the report claims the defender still wants to prove himself at Old Trafford.
Yoro, 20, has only played 22 minutes of Premier League football this season, although does have two starts in cup competitions.
But considering his high potential, it makes sense that a club like PSG will be monitoring his situation, to see if he is restless at his lack of regular game time.
There is a long season ahead at Manchester United, and there is plenty of time for Yoro to alter his situation.
As for the Ilan Zabarnyi piece, the 53-times capped Ukrainian defender has shown his quality in the Premier League previously, with Bournemouth.
Zabarnyi played 86 times for Bournemouth before PSG spent £57 million to sign him in 2025. He has gone on to play 39 times for his new club. He is still only 24.
This report is just worth noting for now. This won’t be the type of deal PSG would pursue in January anyway, but it could come into focus next summer.
