Ajax defender Dies Janse has revealed how Super Eagles forward Tolu Arokodare is helping him improve his game since arriving at the Dutch club.
The Nigerian forward completed a move to Ajax during the summer transfer window from English club Wolves on a season-long loan deal.
Arokodare made the move hoping to revive his career after a difficult spell at Wolves and get back to the form that made him one of the most exciting strikers in Belgium.

The 25-year-old endured a difficult season at the English club after joining Wolves in the summer of 2025 from Belgian side Genk, where he had enjoyed an impressive spell and won the Ebony Shoe award.
Janse explains how Arokodare is helping him improve
Arokodare has enjoyed a much-improved spell since moving to Ajax, scoring six goals across all competitions. His performances have already earned him praise from several people, including the Excelsior head coach, who previously hailed his qualities.
Now, Ajax youngster Dies Janse has also spoken about what the Super Eagles star brings to the club and how training against him is helping his own development.
Janse explained that the high level of training at Ajax gives young players the chance to learn from experienced and quality players.
“The training level at Ajax is very high. Guests have joined where I can learn a lot from. So I'm in a good place to develop myself further”, Janse said.
“Actually, there is something to be gained in every area: physically, turning and turning and getting stronger. Well, if I can stand against Tolu, that's only good. That's really a beast.
“And that's why it's nice that those kinds of guests are added. You learn from that every day”, he concluded.

Super Eagles star developing his game at Ajax
Arokodare first rose to prominence during his time at Genk in the Belgian league, where he developed into a very attacking player.
His form eventually earned him a move to Wolves, but things did not go as planned during his time in England as he struggled to maintain the level he had shown in Belgium.
He struggled for impact and the club eventually suffered relegation to the Championship, while his relationship with the club’s head coach also deteriorated as well.
The Super Eagles forward eventually earned a move to Ajax as he hoped for an opportunity to get his career back on track. The Nigerian star has gradually returned to form in the Netherlands and has already found the back of the net six times across all competitions since joining the club.

He was also involved with the Super Eagles during the international break in his first appearance since 2025, featuring in Nigeria's 2-1 win over Madagascar in their opening AFCON 2027 qualifier.
Arokodare will now be hoping to continue his impressive run of form when the Dutch league returns this weekend, with Ajax set to face NEC.
