I Want Everything: Chivayos Former Wife Goes for Jugular with 3.2 Billion Demand and Fleet of cars

A high-profile divorce dispute involving businessman Chivayo continues to attract significant public attention as his former wife pursues a substantial financial settlement and a share of assets accumulated during their marriage.

According to details presented in court, the former wife is seeking approximately KSh3.2 billion in compensation, alongside continued financial support. Her claims also reportedly include several high-end vehicles from prestigious automobile manufacturers and properties located in desirable areas. She maintains that these demands represent a reasonable division of the wealth and lifestyle enjoyed during the relationship.

At the heart of the dispute are differing interpretations of the couple’s financial contributions and the standard of living they maintained while together. Through his legal representatives, Chivayo has challenged the scale of the former wife’s demands, arguing that the circumstances of the marriage do not justify an award of such magnitude.

The former wife, however, is understood to rely on the lifestyle she experienced during the marriage as part of her case. Private travel, luxury possessions and access to expensive amenities have featured prominently in public discussions surrounding the dispute. Supporters of her position argue that maintaining a comparable level of financial security after the marriage is an important consideration, while critics have questioned whether the amount being sought is proportionate.

The welfare of the couple’s children is another significant issue before the court. Both parties have reportedly presented their respective positions concerning parental care, access and other responsibilities. The court is expected to consider the evidence and arguments submitted by both sides before determining the appropriate arrangements.

The case has generated widespread discussion, particularly because of the substantial figures and valuable assets involved. It has also renewed debate about how courts should approach the division of wealth following the breakdown of marriages involving high-net-worth individuals.

As proceedings continue, further evidence and legal arguments could provide greater clarity on the disputed assets, financial claims and arrangements concerning the children.
