A former Manchester United and England player instantly reacted to the dismal Premier League performance from the Red Devils at Old Trafford under Michael Carrick.
Michael Carrick received a touching full-time reaction from Manchester United fans on Sunday afternoon after it appeared that the 45-year-old Red Devils boss’ future at the club might be sealed.
The United manager was dejected at the full-time whistle after the Premier League side extended their winless streak to eight matches across all competitions.

Gordon Hill thinks Michael Carrick’s time is up and dropped a powerful assessment on Man Utd’s woes
Manchester United were chasing the Premier League match after Rayan and Evanilson scored past Senne Lammens to put Bournemouth 2-0 in the first half. Michael Carrick was left helpless with the Red Devils trailing by a 2-0 deficit and Bournemouth rubbed salt in the wounds of Man Utd after Evanilson netted the Cherries’ third of the contest in the second half.
Carrick has not seen the Red Devils pick up a victory in the Premier League since United’s 5-2 comeback win over Ipswich Town at Old Trafford in August. The Red Devils’ only other win this season came during United’s 4-0 demolition of Sabah in the Champions League clash at Old Trafford last month.
Posting on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, Gordon Hill wrote: “Yes, agree, he [Carrick] will be replaced.”

“I am speechless [at] what I saw at Old Trafford,” he posted in another tweet.
“Yes, Old Trafford, United go down 3-0 nil [sic] at home. Teams would come to Old Trafford and go away with nothing. Not [sic] now they come grab the points and then back home. Unreal.”
United director of football Jason Wilcox and chief executive officer (CEO) Omar Berrada attended Old Trafford at the weekend and Ineos now face major questions over Carrick’s long-term future at the club. While Carrick has been tipped to face the sack from his role as Man Utd manager, Hill insisted that the “shambles” of the Red Devils are “from top to bottom” at the club.
United have tumbled to 16th place in the Premier League table under Carrick and the Red Devils now face a difficult test against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge next Saturday.
