House Linked to Nusrat Osman Abduction Floods Social Media

Social media has been flooded with images of a house in Chadzunda, Blantyre, which is believed to be the location where abductors held British national Nusrat Osman.

The house, located in the Chadzunda area under Traditional Authority Nsomba, is also reported to be the scene of Thursday’s shootout between police and suspected kidnappers.

The confrontation left two suspected kidnappers dead and Deputy Inspector General of Police responsible for Operations, Noel Kayira, injured after sustaining gunshot wounds to his midriff.

According to locals, the house was constructed within the past three months and is reportedly self-contained.

Images circulating on social media show what appear to be two holes in the glass of one of the windows, which some observers suspect could be bullet holes. Similar marks have also reportedly been seen on the roof.

Broken utensils and empty water bottles can also be seen scattered outside the house.

Police have not yet publicly confirmed whether the marks on the house are bullet holes or provided further details about the property as investigations into Osman’s abduction and the shootout continue.
