Manchester United fans have been left stunned by Ben Foster’s position on England midfielder Kobbie Mainoo after the Ipswich Town match last Sunday.
Kobbie Mainoo was a standout Manchester United performer at the weekend outside of Bruno Fernandes, who netted a stunning hat-trick against Ipswich Town.
The 21-year-old Red Devils midfielder made his first Premier League start of the new campaign and impressed alongside Youri Tielemans in the heart of the midfield.
Mainoo made way deep in the second half of Man Utd’s 5-2 win over Ipswich at Old Trafford and was replaced by Andrey Santos in the 80th minute of the clash.

Ben Foster raised eyebrows on social media after he singled out Kobbie Mainoo from Manchester United’s Premier League encounter with Ipswich Town last Sunday.
The 43-year-old ex-United player took to his Threads account and suggested that Mainoo should be sent out on loan to a club where he can become the “main man.”
Posting on United In Focus’ TalkingPoints, Red Devils supporters blasted Foster for claiming that Mainoo needed time away from Old Trafford in a loan spell.
One Man Utd fan said: “Rubbish talk. What’s Ben Foster been having for breakfast?”
Someone else added: “What are you smoking?”
“Rubbish, Ben. Kobbie is this season’s main man for us,” a third Red Devils supporter argued.

Another TalkingPoints user claimed: “I don’t want to judge him. First I need to know – Are we ABSOLUTELY sure Foster didn’t hit his bicycle somewhere leading to a loss of memory? That’s the only thing which explains this take. Get well soon, Ben!”
“Terrible take from Fozzy…. Isn’t Mainoo United’s best midfielder? Why on earth would they do that,” somebody else posted.
A sixth wrote: “Foster has his head in the sky.”
While a seventh commented: “What year is this? Mainoo already is the main man at Man Utd. Amorim is not in charge now.”
“There is no way in hell Foster watched the match; Kobbie ran the show, dominated and looked brilliant,” another said.
Mainoo returned for the tail end of Man Utd’s pre-season tour in the summer after he was called up for international duty with England at the World Cup tournament.
However, the England international did not play a single minute at the World Cup under Thomas Tuchel, despite picking up a bronze medal from the competition.
