Carloha Nigeria’s Managing Director, Sola Adigun, said the event would provide an opportunity to assess emerging automotive technologies and their potential application in the Nigerian market.
“Carloha’s participation in the Chery International User Summit underscores our commitment to connecting Nigerian customers with Chery’s global advancements in automotive technology, intelligent mobility and customer-focused innovation,” he said.
A major feature of the summit will be Chery’s Super Intelligent Valet Parking (SIVP) technology, which combines intelligent parking with vehicle-summoning functions. A demonstration scheduled for October 23 will simulate everyday driving situations, including school pick-ups, shopping and parking in confined spaces.
The programme will also include test drives across different road conditions and a vehicle crash test under the CHERY Brand Safety Challenge, designed to demonstrate vehicle structural integrity and occupant protection under specified conditions.
Chery will present its all-electric CHERY Q model as part of its electric vehicle programme. Other exhibits will cover artificial intelligence, connected mobility and embodied robotics, with applications spanning manufacturing and commercial services.
The developments come as automakers explore technologies that extend beyond conventional vehicle manufacturing. For the Nigerian market, the commercial prospects of electric vehicles and advanced vehicle systems will depend partly on purchase costs, charging infrastructure, maintenance capacity and the availability of technical support.
Carloha distributes Chery vehicles in Nigeria, including sport utility vehicles (SUVs) and New Energy Vehicles (NEVs). Its after-sales offerings include the CarlohaCare 6-6-7 package, which provides a six-year vehicle warranty, six years of complimentary scheduled servicing covering labour and genuine parts, and a seven-day repair promise.
Under the repair promise, customers receive a courtesy vehicle if repairs take longer than seven days. The company also offers CarlohaCare 6-6-7 Rescue, a 24-hour roadside assistance service nationwide for Chery owners, with limited support for motorists driving other brands.
Carloha’s General Manager, Marketing, Felix Mahan, said the technologies on display reflected the growing role of convenience, safety and electric mobility in automotive development.
He said the company would focus on communicating the practical implications of these developments to Nigerian customers.
The summit will also feature Chery’s Ride Green Life initiative, which promotes low-carbon living, alongside programmes covering environmental conservation, education and community welfare.
The automaker is expected to highlight collaborations with organisations including the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
Carloha’s participation will give the Nigerian distributor an opportunity to engage with Chery’s latest product and technology developments as it evaluates their relevance to local market conditions.
