Prince Henry, aspiring Eastern Regional Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has outlined an ambitious digital communication agenda aimed at strengthening the party’s communication structures and improving public access to information across the Eastern Region.
Following the submission of his nomination forms, Prince Henry reaffirmed his commitment to modernising political communication through digital innovation, capacity building, and improved access to information on government policies, programmes, and development projects.
According to him, effective communication in today’s political landscape goes beyond traditional media engagement. He emphasised that active and strategic participation on social media platforms is essential for every NDC communication officer to effectively engage the public and communicate government policies and achievements.
As part of his vision, Prince Henry intends to build the capacity of constituency communication officers across the Eastern Region by equipping them with the knowledge and practical skills needed to understand social media algorithms, maximise digital platforms, and use available online tools to disseminate information effectively.
He also proposed the establishment of a functional regional development-tracking website dedicated to documenting and monitoring development projects across the Eastern Region. The proposed platform would serve as a central information hub, providing accessible information on development initiatives while promoting transparency, accountability, and public awareness.
Prince Henry believes that empowering constituency communication officers with digital skills, alongside the introduction of a regional development-tracking website, will modernise the party’s communication structures and strengthen the flow of information between government, party communicators, and the public.
He expressed confidence that the implementation of these initiatives would enhance the visibility of the NDC’s policies and development projects, strengthen grassroots engagement, and position the party to communicate more effectively with the people of the Eastern Region.
“Through effective digital communication, capacity building, and accessible information on development projects, we can strengthen the NDC’s presence across the Eastern Region and work towards making the region a stronghold of the party,” Prince Henry stated.
His proposed agenda places digital innovation, strategic communication, transparency, and grassroots mobilisation at the centre of his vision for the Eastern Regional Communications Directorate.
As the race for the Eastern Regional Communications Officer position gathers momentum, Prince Henry’s digital-focused agenda signals his intention to promote a more informed, connected, and technologically empowered communication network within the NDC.
