Convener of Arewa Think Tank, Muhammad Alhaji, has described the appointment of Ibrahim Kabir Masari as deputy director-general, Logistics and Operations of the All Progressives Congress (APC) 2027 Presidential Campaign Council as a reward for his loyalty, political experience and organisational capacity.
Alhaji, in a congratulatory message, said Masari’s appointment was well deserved, noting that his previous political roles and longstanding relationship with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had prepared him for the task.
Describing Masari as a “tested and trusted political operative,” Alhaji said his loyalty, experience and understanding of the political terrain would be valuable to the President Tinubu and APC ahead of the 2027 election.
“His appointment is a clear recognition of the value he brings to the political family of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC,” he said.
He added that Masari’s new assignment would require strategic thinking, grassroots mobilisation, effective coordination and administrative efficiency, expressing confidence in his ability to deliver.
The Arewa Think Tank convener also commended President Tinubu for appointing experienced political leaders to key positions in the campaign council.
According to Alhaji, the composition of the campaign leadership demonstrated the seriousness with which the APC was approaching the 2027 presidential election.
He urged Masari to see the appointment as both an honour and a responsibility, stressing that the 2027 election would require discipline, unity and extensive engagement with Nigerians at the grassroots.
“I urge our brother Ibrahim Kabir Masari to remain focused and committed to the task ahead. Nigerians expect leadership that listens, understands their concerns and communicates the achievements and plans of the administration effectively,” Alhaji said.
He expressed optimism that the campaign council would work collectively to consolidate the gains of the Tinubu administration and communicate its programmes and achievements to Nigerians ahead of the 2027 general elections.
