'I honour you my elder brother' - Obi celebrates Kwankwaso at 70

The Presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Peter Obi, has described his running mate, Dr Rabiu Kwankwaso, as an accomplished Nigerian whose cooperative alliance will enable the rehabilitation of Nigeria from the prolonged harm resulting from deficient administration.

In his statement commemorating the 70th birthday celebration of Kwankwaso, Obi stated, "Over the years, I have cultivated a deep respect for the bond that exists between us, the extensive conversations we have participated in, and the shared commitment to Nigeria that consistently guides our public service.

"As you observe your 70th birthday on October 21, I acknowledge not only a respected public administrator but also a highly esteemed senior associate, trusted advisor, and partner whose life has been devoted to enhancing the prosperity of our nation.

"Your journey through legislative service, the Federal Executive Council, the gubernatorial administration of Kano State, and participation in national public affairs demonstrates a comprehensive career, accountability, and meaningful engagement with the Nigerian people.

"Attaining the age of seventy signifies considerably more than a significant milestone; it represents an occasion to reflect with gratitude on a career dedicated to public service, the wisdom acquired through broad experience, and the opportunities that await you.

"As we persist in aspiring for and striving toward an improved Nigeria, I remain appreciative of our collaboration, and for our common belief that our nation can transform into a place where no child lacks opportunity, no family endures poverty, and every Nigerian can exist with dignity, security, and hope.

"My dear brother, may God grant you renewed vigor, excellent health, discernment, and numerous additional productive years. May the forthcoming years be abundant with peace, contentment, and the gratification of witnessing the principles we value become increasingly established throughout our nation.

"Warmest congratulations on your 70th birthday, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. I honour you on this special occasion and pray that the chapter ahead will be filled with abundant blessings and many more purposeful years."
