Each club is being given 30 sets of football boots for its playing squad for the upcoming season.
GFA General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo is overseeing the distribution. He said the programme reflected the associations commitment to helping clubs prepare effectively and operate in an environment that allows them to develop.
This is part of our broader strategy to support our clubs and ensure that players are adequately equipped for the new season. Clubs who have picked up have done so, and we have made arrangements for the rest to collect theirs from next week, he said.
Representatives of the clubs that have already received their boots have thanked the GFA for the support.
The distribution comes as clubs prepare for the start of the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League campaign, which is scheduled to begin on Saturday, 5 September 2026.
The GFA has described the provision of equipment as part of its broader support for Premier League clubs ahead of the new season. The associations arrangements mean that clubs that have not yet collected their allocation will have the opportunity to do so from next week.
The 12 clubs that have already visited the GFA headquarters in Accra have completed the collection of their boots, while the outstanding allocations remain available for the other clubs to pick up.
With the new campaign approaching, the distribution is intended to ensure that players are adequately equipped before competitive action begins. The GFA said the measure would help ease the logistical burden on clubs as they finalise their preparations for the 2026/27 season.
The Ghana Premier League season is set to get under way on 5 September, with the boot distribution being completed in stages before the opening weekend.
