Makro’s first batch of Black Friday sales are live until 10th November

Like many South African companies, Makro is doing something different for Black Friday 2026. Instead of just dropping all of its sales on Black Friday itself (27th November), it is offering sales leading up to the event with the first batch available now and ending on 10th November.

Said first batch can be found by clicking or tapping here, where a large banner at the top will inform you that the sales go up to 60 percent off.

You will be met with hundreds of items on that page alone, with thousands more if you keep looking around. To make your browsing easier, we’ve provided you with the sale categories below:

• Best Buys,

• Fridges & Freezers,

• Washers & Dryers,

• Cooking Appliances,

• Televisions,

• Laptops & Monitors,

• Cellular,

• Sound Bars & Speakers,

• Health Care,

• Furniture,

• Cookware,

• Black Friday Finds,

• Pantry,

• Liquor

  .

While using those categories, we also recommend taking a look at the search filters on the left side of the store page. Here you can filter by percentage discount to find the best deals.

Using both categories and the filter, we searched around to see if we could find anything for 60 percent off claimed by the advertising.

Doing this, we did find a selection of items at 50 percent off or higher, which is the limit of the filter. You can find these items here.

There, true to Makro’s word, we did find several items at 60 percent off. Even better is the fact that some items were discounted by even steeper percentages.

As always, before hitting purchase, make sure you check the prices on other websites. A steep sale at one store may be the everyday price on another store.

Lastly, if you do find something you like from Makro during this sale, take note of the R650 threshold for free delivery which otherwise costs R70.
