In comments reported on Sunday, 25 October 2026, the independent MP stated: “If anyone contests me in Gomoa Central and gets even 5% of the votes, I will concede my parliamentary seat to them.”

The bold declaration reflects A-Plus’s continued confidence in his hold on the seat he won as an independent candidate in the 2024 general election. He has previously made similar strong statements about his political strength in the constituency, including claims that only Jesus Christ could unseat him.

A-Plus, a musician-turned-politician, has focused much of his time in office on local development projects and infrastructure initiatives in Gomoa Central. He has often highlighted his achievements while challenging both the NDC and NPP in the area.

His latest comment comes amid ongoing political discussions about the 2028 elections and internal party activities. The MP has remained vocal on national issues while maintaining a strong presence in his constituency.

Political observers note that A-Plus’s independent status and direct style continue to generate attention. Whether any major party candidate will take up the challenge remains to be seen as the next election cycle approaches.

The statement is expected to spark further debate among supporters and potential rivals in Gomoa Central.
