Northern financial advisers, brokers meet in Oshakati

Old Mutual Corporate Segment recently hosted its Northern Intermediary Excellence Forum in Oshakati, bringing together more than 30 financial intermediaries from across the northern regions to strengthen collaboration, share industry insights and discuss the evolving regulatory landscape.

The forum brought together both financial advisers and brokers from Oshakati, Ongwediva, Ondangwa, Outapi and Opuwo for an interactive engagement focused on building stronger partnerships and ensuring intermediaries remain equipped to serve clients with excellence.

The engagement formed part of Old Mutual Corporate Segment’s ongoing commitment to supporting its intermediary partners through knowledge sharing, open engagement and meaningful collaboration.

It provided a platform to discuss key financial service sector industry developments, business opportunities and regulatory updates.

Topics covered included Financial Institutions and Markets Act (FIMA) developments, intermediary roles and responsibilities, Old Mutual business updates and opportunities, as well as open discussions aimed at encouraging information sharing, networking and collaboration.

Speaking on the importance of the forum, Kaarina Nambinga, Old Mutual Namibia Corporate Segment Intermediated Clients Manager, said that “Intermediaries play a critical role in helping customers to make informed financial decisions and achieve their long-term goals.

“The Northern Intermediary Excellence Forum creates an important opportunity for us to engage directly, share knowledge and ensure that we remain aligned in delivering exceptional service and value to our clients.”

“Through open dialogue and collaboration, we can better understand the needs of our intermediary partners while working together to drive sustainable growth and positive outcomes for the communities we serve,” Nambinga added.

Nambinga stated that the forum enabled Old Mutual Corporate Segment to gain valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities facing intermediaries in the northern regions.

These engagements help strengthen relationships, improve service delivery and ensure that both Old Mutual and its intermediary partners remain focused on achieving shared objectives.

By investing in ongoing engagement and professional development initiatives such as the Intermediary Excellence Forum, Old Mutual Corporate Segment continues to reinforce its commitment to building strong partnerships, maintaining high standards of professionalism and supporting the delivery of quality financial advice across Namibia.
