The Nigeria Female Youth Organisation (NFYO) has celebrated the 42nd birthday of renowned aviation engineer, entrepreneur and reformer, Engr. Isaac David Balami, commending his commitment to youth development, education and service to humanity.
The president of the organisation, Princess Mimi Peters, in a congratulatory message, described Balami as a Nigerian who has continued to make meaningful contributions to the society through his professional achievements, humanitarian efforts and investment in the younger generation.
Peters particularly commended his recent investment in aviation education, noting that his decision to establish an institution dedicated to training future aviation professionals demonstrated the importance of successful Nigerians giving back to the society.
“This is what we expect from our leaders. This is what we expect from our politicians and this is what we really love to see from him,” Peters said.
She urged Balami not to relent in his efforts to touch lives and create opportunities for young Nigerians, saying his contributions represented an example of how individuals could use their achievements to make a difference in society.
Balami, a certified aircraft maintenance engineer and former National President of the National Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineers (NAAPE), is the founder of Isaac Balami University of Aeronautics and Management (IBUAM), a private aeronautics university established to develop globally competitive aviation professionals and managers.
Peters said Balami’s journey and contributions underscored the importance of building institutions and creating opportunities that would benefit future generations.
She added that the NFYO would be glad to work with Balami in promoting youth development and building a better future for Nigerian youths.
“Our organisation, Nigeria Female Youth Organisation, would be glad to partner with him in building a better future, especially as we work towards our first National Female Youth Conference,” she said.
Peters also called on Nigerians to embrace the spirit of giving back to society, stressing that nation-building was a collective responsibility.
She urged young Nigerians and those in positions of influence to think beyond personal interests and consider what they could contribute towards making the country better.
The NFYO president wished Balami continued success, good health and greater accomplishments as he advances his contributions to aviation, education, youth empowerment and humanitarian service.
She encouraged him to remain committed to touching lives and creating opportunities for others, saying such contributions would continue to inspire young Nigerians.
